What can you do with We Work Remotely?

Browse remote jobs by category and region

Employers post jobs in eight categories, from programming and design to customer support and sales and marketing. You can filter by region, country, salary range and skills, follow companies and subscribe to a category by RSS. Listings marked Hot come from employers who posted directly on the site; Featured and Boosted ones are paid upgrades. On October 17, 2026 the whole board had 416 open jobs; Pro doesn't add listings, it unlocks applying.

Categories are broad: Sales and Marketing is mostly sales roles such as account executive, with few marketing jobs. Reviewers also often say they found few jobs for their field or region.

Apply to jobs

Paying for Pro is what unlocks applying. For a free account, the Apply button on most listings is locked and leads to the plans; with Pro you apply on the employer's own site or by email, as each employer chooses. The exception is Boosted listings: their employers allow applications without a subscription, and you can filter for them. On October 17, 2026 that was 27 of 416 jobs.

Get new jobs by email

A free account gets one feed of jobs matched to the regions and time zones you choose; it can come up empty, as ours did for “Anywhere in the World” and Eastern time. WWR's FAQ says the feed also comes as a daily email; whether it arrives on a free account isn't confirmed. Pro adds up to five custom alerts.

AI Auto-Apply is JobCopilot

The AI Auto-Apply button on every job opens JobCopilot under WWR's logo: a separate product with its own account, terms and subscription, not part of Pro.

JobCopilot subscription: from $29.90 a month

Access partner platforms with TopAccess

TopAccess bundles Pro with a priority application to Toptal's talent marketplace and access to Arc, PeoplePerHour, Remote OK and NoDesk; WWR says acceptance isn't guaranteed. It also offers a one-time reward of up to $500 if you earn $1,000 on Toptal or Arc, with proof. Sign-up also offers a free resume score from Toptal Resume, a partner service; the detailed recommendations there are paid.

TopAccess: $29.95 a month for 12 months

Free plan & pricing

A free account lets you browse and save jobs; applying to most listings needs WWR Pro. Both paid plans are 12-month commitments billed monthly, and TopAccess adds other platforms. The AI Auto-Apply is JobCopilot's own subscription.

Before you pay

  • What you're chargedThe plans page at the end of sign-up opens with TopAccess ($29.95 a month) selected; to buy Pro you select it yourself. Pro shows $2.95 with “80% OFF”, but the discount covers only the first month. The page has no option to continue on a free account (closing it and reopening the site gets you there), and paying also signs you up for WWR's promotional emails. ·
  • Free trialNone. Pro's $2.95 first month is the first of 12 payments, not a trial, and TopAccess has no trial either.
  • Renewal and cancellationBoth plans are a 12-month commitment billed monthly. You can cancel at any time in Subscriptions, but according to the Terms the monthly payments stay due until the 12 months end, and you keep access until then. WWR says it reminds you before the yearly renewal; you can cancel it until 11:59 pm Eastern the day before, and a failed payment can add a late fee of 10% or $30, whichever is less.
  • RefundsGenerally no. The Terms call both subscriptions non-refundable except where the law requires it, or when WWR doesn't provide the service you paid for. Some reviewers say support cancelled a plan bought by mistake or returned a payment, others that it refused. Terms updated July 20, 2026, read on October 17, 2026.

Too few reviews to judge.

What people like

  • Support that quickly cancels a plan or returns a payment (mostly in reviews sent through WWR's links)
  • A good choice of remote jobs
  • Easy to use

What people complain about

  • Not realising Pro is a 12-month commitment: the first month at $2.95 read as a trial or a monthly plan
  • Charged again after cancelling or turning off renewal
  • Few relevant jobs for their field or region
  • No reply from support about billing
  • Having to pay to apply at all
  • Hard to find how to cancel, remove the card or delete the account
  • Listings that are old, gone or copied from other boards
  • Sign-up that leads straight to payment

Themes mentioned at least three times in the 165 Trustpilot reviews from the past 12 months that are about the job board, with the same rules for praise and complaints; for example 4- and 5-star reviews and 1- to 3-star reviews. The 12-month commitment comes up in 59 of them. Less often (3–4 reviews each): a hard-to-use mobile site and the AI Auto-Apply billed separately by JobCopilot. First-hand posts in seven Reddit threads from the past 12 months raise the same complaints: the 12-month commitment, few jobs for their field and paying to apply (r/personalfinance, r/remotework, r/digitalnomad).

About We Work Remotely

We Work Remotely is operated by We Work Remotely Ltd., which its Terms of Service say provides the service from Canada. It launched publicly in 2011. Employers pay to post jobs, and job seekers pay for Pro to apply to most of them.

What We Work Remotely promises

Home page: “For over a decade, WWR has been the #1 site for remote jobs, with 6M monthly visitors”. Sign-up page: “Trusted by jobseekers 6M+” and “Jobs Posted 37,000+”, while the site footer says 42,497; these count jobs posted since 2011, not open ones (416 on October 17, 2026). The plans page promises “Real jobs only. No ghosts, no scams, no wasted time” and values the TopAccess partners at “$110+/month”, with Arc and Toptal Marketplace at $14.95 a month each; the FAQ values each of those two at “$100+/month”. No method is given for these figures, and we haven't measured them.

What information We Work Remotely asks for

Sign-up asks for your resume, target job title, full name, experience level, job status and salary range, then the regions, time zones and country you can work from, whether you're authorised to work in the US and whether you need visa sponsorship. The free resume score sends your resume to Toptal Resume, with the box ticked by default. The Terms give WWR and its affiliates a broad licence to content you upload, and paying also signs you up for promotional emails. We haven't read the privacy policy.
