About Choosery

Choosery helps people choose job search tools: what each tool does, what every plan includes and costs, and what other users report. It's written for people looking for work in the US, and prices are in US dollars.

Why it exists

There are hundreds of tools that promise to make a job search faster: hidden jobs, interviews within a week, applications sent while you sleep. Most of what you can read about them comes from the vendors themselves or from articles that earn a commission when you sign up.

What's hard to find is a plain account of what a tool actually does, what each plan includes and what you're actually charged, what the terms say about refunds and renewal, and what other users ran into. That's what Choosery collects, with the date and the source of every fact. How we research

How Choosery makes money

It doesn't yet. There are no ads, affiliate links or sponsored content on the site. If that changes, anything paid for will be labelled where it appears, and this page will explain how Choosery earns money.

Links to a tool's website carry a tag (utm_source=choosery) so the vendor can see that the visit came from Choosery. The tag doesn't identify you.

Why lists aren't ranked

Ranking tools fairly takes the same test on every one of them, with the same resume and the same job ads. We haven't run such a test yet, so lists are in A–Z order and each profile describes a tool on its own terms.

Who's behind it

Choosery is a small, independent project, not owned by any of the companies it covers.
