Teal

Teal is a job search workspace: a job board with an AI search chat, a tracker for applications, contacts and companies, and a Chrome extension that saves jobs from other sites into it. Its resume builder lets you keep a version for each job and compares it with the posting's keywords; the full resume analysis, all keywords and most of the AI writing come with Teal+.

Our check: we used the free plan on Oct 3 and 13, 2026; Teal+ and its AI writing weren't tested. Details
We used a free account with a test resume: the job board and AI search, the tracker and extension, the resume analyzer and a PDF download. Prices and the refund and cancellation rules come from Teal's pricing page, the app, its Terms and help center; we bought nothing. Sources and our check

What can you do with Teal?

Find jobs on Teal's job board

Setup asks for the job titles and workplace types you want and saves them as a search; listings show how long ago each was posted, and you can search more broadly, such as all marketing jobs. Each listing shows the requirements and the posting's top keywords: five for free, the rest with Teal+.

Some users report listings that felt like “ghost” jobs, a small selection for their field, or a board not adapted to their country outside the US.

Ask an AI to search for you

The AI job search is a chat over the same board. In our test a request such as “performance marketing job, 100k+” returned matching jobs with salary ranges and how many days ago each was posted, then offered to narrow by location, remote work, seniority or industry. It doesn't apply for you; you open each job yourself.

Save jobs from any site and track every application

With the Chrome extension open on a job page, you save the link with a stage, an excitement rating and notes; Teal says it works on more than 40 job boards. In our test, a job saved from Coinbase's careers page arrived in the tracker with its full description and highlighted keywords.

The tracker moves each job through Bookmarked, Applying, Applied, Interviewing, Negotiating and Accepted. Each job keeps notes, the resumes you used, contacts, a checklist and email templates for each stage (one per stage on the free plan), and you set weekly goals for jobs saved and applications sent. Separate trackers keep the people and companies you're following. Reviewers most often praise Teal for this part.

Build resumes and tailor them to each job

You import a resume or your LinkedIn profile once and keep as many versions as you like, choosing which bullets go into each. The builder has a content editor, a designer with templates, an analyzer that scores the resume and a job matcher that compares it with a saved job's keywords. On the free plan you see the score and the number of issues, but in our account every recommendation was blurred until upgrading; the matcher shows the top five keywords.

The free plan includes a few AI credits: 10 for resume bullets, 2 for summaries and 2 for cover letters, according to Teal's pricing page; Teal+ makes AI writing unlimited. We didn't use the AI writing. Resumes and cover letters download only as PDF, according to Teal's help center, so you edit them in Teal; the PDF download worked on the free plan.

Fill in applications

Teal doesn't fill in application forms in our experience, although one of its product pages still describes extension autofill and “one-click apply”. With the extension open on a Greenhouse form we found no autofill option, its menu has none, and Teal's help center has no article about it. Replying to a reviewer in November 2025, Teal said autofill had been released as a beta in the past and would be revisited.

Search several job sites at once

Super Search in the extension takes a job title and location and opens a tab with that search on each site you tick, such as Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, Glassdoor and Dice. It doesn't rank the results; each site shows its own.

AI interview practice: advertised, not found

Teal's product page describes AI mock interviews built from a job you saved, with video recording, a live transcript and feedback on your answers and pace, and says you can try them for free. We couldn't find it in our free account: the page's button opened the app's home page, and the app had no interview practice section (October 13, 2026).

Before you pay

  • What you're chargedIn the app the monthly plan was selected by default. The weekly plan costs $65 over the first 30 days, against $29 on the monthly plan. Teal's pricing page also shows each price per day (“$0.96 a day” for the monthly plan). We saw no crossed-out prices, countdowns or pop-up offers.
  • Free trialNone offered, as far as we saw. The free plan doesn't expire and needs no card, so it's the way to try Teal.
  • RefundsPossible if you ask quickly, but not guaranteed. Under Teal's Terms (August 12, 2026) and its refund policy, you email membersupport@tealhq.com with your reason and account email within 2 calendar days of the start of a weekly billing period, 7 days for monthly, or 14 days for 3-month and yearly plans. Teal decides case by case, and cancelling doesn't request a refund by itself.
  • Renewal and cancellationAll plans renew automatically at the then-current price; the renewal is charged within 24 hours of the end of the period, and Teal says it emails before a price increase. You cancel any time in your account settings under Teal+ Subscription; Teal+ stays until the end of the paid period, and a red banner under your plan shows the end date. Teal asks you to check for that banner: according to its Terms, it isn't responsible for renewals you didn't cancel.

What users say

Teal platform

4.2/ 5 on Trustpilot
  • 116 reviews, 57 from the past 12 months
  • None of the recent reviews were invited by Teal; all are labelled as written without an invitation
  • Teal replies to almost every negative review, offering help by email

Extension

Chrome extension3,200 ratings4.9

This rates the free extension, not Teal+; the store lists 200,000 users. Checked October 13, 2026; we haven't read the store reviews.

What people like

  • Keeping every application, its stage and notes organised in one place
  • A clean, easy interface
  • Saving jobs from other sites with the Chrome extension
  • Keeping and tailoring a resume version for each job

What people complain about

  • A job board that falls short for some: listings that felt like ghost jobs, few jobs in their field, or no support for their country outside the US

Themes mentioned at least three times in the Trustpilot reviews from the past 12 months, with the same rules for praise and complaints. Mentioned twice each, below that threshold: AI cover letters that needed heavy editing or misspelled the reviewer's surname, marketing emails that continued after unsubscribing, and charges after forgetting or trying to cancel. These reviews show what some users experienced, not how Teal works for most people.

What Teal promises

On its homepage: “Land 6X more interviews” and “Loved by over 4 million members”; its About page says “678K+ Teal Members”. Its autofill page promises to “populate and submit job applications in seconds”, which we didn't find in the product. None of these come with a method, and we haven't measured them.

What information Teal asks for

Your resume or LinkedIn profile for the builder, the job titles and workplace types you want, and whatever you save about jobs, people and companies. According to its Terms, Teal doesn't use your resume, cover letters or other identifiable career documents to train general AI models for other customers, but may use aggregated, de-identified usage data.

FAQ

Is Teal free?

Yes: the free plan doesn't expire, needs no card and includes the job board, the AI job search, unlimited job tracking, the Chrome extension and unlimited resumes, with limits on keywords, templates, analysis and AI credits. Teal+ removes those limits.

How much does Teal+ cost?

$29 a month, $13 a week, $79 every 3 months or $179 a year. There's no free trial.

Can I get a refund from Teal?

You can ask by email within 2 days of the start of a weekly period, 7 days for monthly or 14 days for 3-month and yearly plans, according to its Terms. Refunds are decided case by case and aren't guaranteed.

Does Teal apply to jobs or fill in applications for me?

No, as far as we found: one of Teal's pages still describes autofill, but we found none in the extension or the app, and Teal told a reviewer in 2025 that it had been a beta. You apply on each employer's site yourself.

Can I download my resume as a Word file?

No. According to Teal's help center, resumes and cover letters download only as PDF; that works on the free plan.

We used the free plan with a test resume of a senior performance marketer: setup, the job board, the AI job search, the resume analyzer, saving a job with the extension, Super Search and a Greenhouse application form; on October 13 we downloaded a resume as PDF and looked for AI Interview Practice. We haven't used Teal+. Choosery has no affiliate or business relationship with Teal. How we research
