What can you do with Huntr?

Keep track of every application

Huntr's board has a column for each stage, from Wishlist and Applied to Interview, Offer and Rejected, and you move each job along as things happen. Each job keeps its description, notes, contacts, documents, tasks and dates, and the same search can be seen as a list, on a map or as metrics such as how many applications reached an interview.

Setup asks you to save a first job before you reach the board, so have a posting at hand.

Save jobs from other sites in one click

Huntr has no job board of its own. You find jobs anywhere and save them with the Chrome Job Clipper: in our test on LinkedIn and on Coinbase's careers page, one click saved the title, company, location, link and the full job description to the board. The clipper also highlights keywords from the posting; on the free plan we saw the first five, the rest needed Pro.

Huntr says the clipper works on many popular job sites but doesn't name them; we didn't try it on Workday.

Fill in the basic fields of an application

Fill in an autofill profile once (name, contact details, location, links, education, US work authorization and visa sponsorship, your resume), and the extension offers to fill application forms on company sites. In our test on two common ATS forms, it filled name, email and phone on Greenhouse, and only name and email on Ashby.

Autofill doesn't answer questions specific to the job, such as why you want the role; there's no place for those answers in the autofill profile. You review and submit each application yourself.

Tailor your resume to a job

The resume builder keeps your base resume and makes a separate version for each job. It scores the resume and how well it matches the posting, and its AI suggests edits to the summary, experience and skills. Free PDF export and all templates are included on the free plan.

On the free plan you see a few suggestions; the rest are blurred, and in our test even a visible suggestion couldn't be applied without Pro. The visible one added tools our resume didn't mention, though it left the result as a placeholder instead of inventing a number. Check any added experience before you keep it.

Huntr's Resume Score and Job Match are different measures: general resume quality and fit to the posting. We haven't checked either score against hiring outcomes.

Draft cover letters, emails and interview prep

From each saved job, Huntr's AI writes a cover letter, a follow-up after applying, interview prep questions with answers, questions to ask, thank-you, reschedule and decline emails, and emails to negotiate, accept or decline an offer. An application packet puts the tailored resume, cover letter and follow-up together for download.

The free plan includes 10 AI generations, according to the usage page in our account. Read the drafts closely: three of the seven interview answers we generated contained claims our resume didn't support, such as experience with tools taken from the job posting and an invented 30% improvement. The follow-up email kept placeholders like [Hiring Manager's Name] and gave the wrong number of years of experience.

Browse job sites on your phone

The mobile app for iPhone and Android is a browser for job sites that saves postings to your board with one tap, and shows the board, dates, tasks and a map. The app was last updated in September 2024 and doesn't include the AI tools. We haven't used it.

Huntr sells plans for organisations, such as bootcamps, university career centres, career coaches and outplacement firms, to follow their job seekers' searches. These run under a separate agreement; we haven't looked at them.

Before you pay

  • What you're chargedThe longer plans are shown as a monthly figure, $30 and $26.66 a month, next to a crossed-out “$40 per month”, which is the real monthly price. The pricing page opens on the monthly plan, and we saw no countdowns or pop-up discounts.
  • Free trialNone. Huntr's FAQ says there's no trial of Pro; the free plan and its 10 AI generations are the way to try it.
  • RefundsNot stated. Huntr's pricing FAQ and its Terms of Service (version of May 30, 2022) don't mention refunds. If that matters to you, ask Huntr before paying for 3 or 6 months upfront.
  • Renewal and cancellationPro renews automatically. According to the FAQ, you cancel yourself under Plan & Usage in your account settings, without contacting support; Pro stays active to the end of the paid period, then the account goes back to the free plan, and you don't lose your data, though Pro features stop. One user on Huntr's own subreddit reported that after cancelling, their statistics were only available as a CSV export and their payment history was gone (Reddit).

What people complain about

We found too few reports to identify recurring complaints. Single reports mention autofill that works only sometimes, AI cover letters that are long and “over the top”, paying for months without getting interviews, and not reaching anyone to cancel (Reddit).

Themes mentioned at least three times in the 8 Trustpilot reviews from the past 12 months and in Reddit threads, with the same rules for praise and complaints. Huntr's subreddit, r/HuntrCo, is run by its staff. With so few reviews, they show what some users experienced, not how Huntr works for most people.

Huntr is run by Huntr LLC, under Washington State law, according to its Terms of Service; its mobile app listing gives an address in Seattle. It was founded in 2016. Besides job seekers, it sells plans to bootcamps, universities, career coaches and outplacement firms.

Support is by email (info@huntr.co, as listed on Google Play); Huntr staff also answer on its subreddit, r/HuntrCo. Its Privacy Policy says it will never sell your personal data and uses third-party services for AI writing, without naming them.

What Huntr promises

On its website: “500,000+” job seekers have used Huntr, autofill works on “1000s of websites”, “the most advanced job <> resume matching system in the world” and “10x faster”. In its Q2 2026 research report, Huntr says 5.71% of applications sent with a Huntr-tailored resume were marked as reaching an interview, against 3.09% without one. That's the company's own figure, based on what users mark in the tracker; the report itself says it is not proof that tailoring caused the difference, and that the gap narrows sharply when the same person's applications are compared. We haven't measured any of these.

What information Huntr asks for

To autofill applications: name, contact details, location, links, education, your resume, and whether you're authorised to work in the US or need visa sponsorship. The tracker holds whatever you add about jobs, contacts and interviews. If you use Huntr through a school or coach, they can see your search under their agreement with Huntr.

Yes: the free plan doesn't expire, needs no card and includes the tracker for up to 100 jobs, the Chrome clipper, autofill, the resume builder with PDF export, 2 job-tailored resumes and 10 AI generations. Unlimited AI tailoring, cover letters and tracking need Huntr Pro.

How much does Huntr Pro cost?

$40 every month, $90 every 3 months or $160 every 6 months, as shown on Huntr's pricing page on October 3, 2026. There's no free trial.

Can I get a refund?

Huntr's pricing FAQ and Terms of Service don't mention refunds, so ask Huntr before paying upfront for a longer plan.

Does Huntr find jobs or apply for me?

No: Huntr doesn't list jobs, and you save them from job sites with the extension. Autofill fills basic fields such as name, email and phone; you answer the rest and submit yourself.

Do I lose my data if I cancel Pro?

According to Huntr's FAQ, no: you go back to the free plan and keep your data, though tracking beyond 100 jobs and AI tools stop. One user reported that after cancelling, statistics were only available as a CSV export.
