What can you do with Kickresume?

Build a resume from a template

Import an old resume (PDF or Word) or your LinkedIn profile, or start from scratch, then edit sections in the editor and switch templates, colors and fonts; premium options carry a “Premium” label.

The free plan limits more than design: in our account a PDF downloaded only with a free template and font and at most two jobs and two skills; from the third entry on, items were marked Premium. Until we trimmed it, our imported resume offered only a preview image and a text export.

Users repeatedly say the templates give little control over margins, spacing and fonts, which makes it hard to fit a resume on one page.

Free PDF: free template, up to 2 jobs and 2 skillsPremium: 40+ templates, no item limits

Tailor it to a job and check it

Resume tailoring rewrites your resume for a job ad you paste or link, at one of three strengths, and saves the result as a separate copy with a list of what it changed. In our test it listed what it changed, added the job ad's keywords and kept the numbers from our resume. We could preview the tailored copy, but downloading it as a PDF required removing Premium elements or upgrading. The ATS Resume Checker gives a score with sub-scores for design, structure and content; the detailed feedback is Premium.

Users repeatedly report that tailoring and the AI writer produce wordy bullets or copy the job ad's wording, so read the result before you send it.

Check the AI limit if you plan to tailor a lot. The tailoring page promises unlimited tailoring on Premium, but Kickresume confirms a usage limit it doesn't publish

Prepare for interviews and plan your career

Interview questions come as a list with why each is asked and a model answer. The basic set uses a job title and seniority; a personalized set also reads the job ad, but its answers are model answers, not built from your resume. Kickresume says it uses a fine-tuned version of an OpenAI model for this.

Career Map suggests roles you could move into, with a short description and an average salary; the skills you'd need, the rest of the map and the AI Career Coach are Premium. Career Coach and AI Recruiter Feedback work only in English.

Find jobs and track applications

The job search lists openings worldwide; ours returned jobs in the US, Singapore and China, with filters for country, job type and workplace. “Jobs for You” (beta) picks matches from your resume; ours were partial matches, and most had been posted weeks earlier. Saved jobs go to a tracker with statuses.

Free: search, matches, tracker

Cover letters, translation and proofreading

The AI Cover Letter Writer drafts a letter for a job ad, with templates that match the resume ones, and a website builder turns your resume into a web page; we didn't try these. Translation into another language ran free in our account; as with tailoring, we could preview the result but not download it as a PDF without removing Premium elements. Proofreading by a person is a paid extra.

Free plan & pricing

The free version has no time limit and needs no card; you can download a PDF of a resume that stays within the free limits. Premium is billed every month, every 3 months or every year, and the app selects the 3-month plan by default; there's no free trial. Verified students and teachers can get Premium free.

Before you pay

  • What you're chargedThe whole period is paid upfront, and the price depends on where you buy. On October 14, 2026 the pricing page ran a “limited time” 20% discount on the first period, with a countdown but no end date: $19.20, $43.20 or $76.80. The upgrade screen in the app showed the regular prices without the discount, with the 3-month plan selected.
  • RefundsPossibly within 14 days, and only once. The pricing page promises a “14-day money back guarantee, 0 questions asked”. Kickresume's Terms of Use are stricter: subscriptions are non-returnable, and new users “may” get a 14-day money-back guarantee, once per user.
  • Renewal and cancellationAll plans renew automatically for the same period. You have to cancel before the current term ends; Premium then stays active until the paid period runs out, with no refund for the time left (Terms). Kickresume says it gives notice before changing recurring prices. Where you buy matters: a web subscription includes the mobile apps, but a yearly subscription bought in the app doesn't include web Premium.
  • ExtrasProofreading by a person costs $30 per resume, in English or Spanish, and is non-returnable. Students and teachers who verify their status with ISIC, ITIC or UNiDAYS get Premium free; the help center says for 6 months.

FAQ

Is Kickresume free?

Yes, with no time limit, but a free PDF needs a free template and at most two jobs and two skills. Tailoring once, translation, the ATS score, basic interview questions, job search and the tracker are free; results that use Premium options can only be previewed.

How much does Kickresume Premium cost?

$24 a month, $54 every 3 months or $96 a year, as shown on October 14, 2026; the app selects the 3-month plan by default.

Can I get a refund?

The pricing page promises a 14-day money-back guarantee. According to Kickresume's Terms, new users may get it once; otherwise subscriptions are non-returnable.

Is AI tailoring unlimited on Premium?

Not quite. Kickresume confirms a usage limit against abuse that it doesn't publish; support can lift it.

Can I download my resume as a Word file?

Yes, as text only: the Word export keeps all your text but none of the design, and on the free plan it carries Kickresume's logo and link at the top.
